Saturn’s opposition and Jupiter’s opposition

Saturn’s opposition and Jupiter’s opposition are coming on August 2 and 20, 2021. It’s the perfect time for observing marvelous Saturn and Jupiter.

What is opposition? Opposition refers to the moment the Sun, the Earth, and a planet are in line. Because a planet is the closest to Earth, a planet looks the biggest and brightest than the normal time. Also, the observation time will be the longest, lasting from the sunset till the sunrise.

Observation time is few weeks before and after opposition. In case of missing the day of opposition, it’s okay. Just schedule a sunny day to visit TAEA over the summer break, and you can see Jupiter’s Red Spot and its four satellites as well as the famous ring of Saturn.
